To promote action in inclusive employment as part of Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Sinneave Family Foundation in partnership with Alberta Provincial Inclusive Employment Network members hosted a policy discussion through a webinar about inclusive employment with the goals of enhancing shared understanding and identifying opportunities and change imperatives to improve employment outcomes for Albertans with disabilities.
Inclusive employment is an attractive proposition for businesses and employing persons with disabilities is an important component of an inclusive employment strategy. The business case for inclusive employment is well established. A diverse workforce can directly affect productivity and improve a company’s bottom line.
